BIOGRAPHY

The main player behind The Rubicon, Christopher Valentine, is a classically-trained musician and composer. Initially trained on viola at age eight, Christopher switched to upright and electric bass at age twelve, where he logged ten-plus years in various orchestras and string ensembles as well as several club bands. His musical background is eclectic and broad, having worked within the classical, jazz, rock, blues, and R&B idioms for the better part of the last twenty-two years.

Currently involved with the Genesis tribute band Hogweed (www.hogweedlives.com), Christopher still gigs consistently throughout NYC. As a direct result of his diverse influences and experiences, The Rubicon can compose any type of musically that is stylistically requested, from funk to industrial, new age to baroque, metal to ambient.
